Stone Presbyterian Church is looking for a part-time Office Manager to join a team that supports an open, diverse, and friendly congregation.


Stone Church is a faith community made up of diverse people who like to think for themselves but worship God together. As Christians, we believe we are called to use our talents and resources to deepen our relationship with God, build a loving church family, and reach out to our broader community.


We are looking for someone who can work approximately 20 hours per week managing the administrative, clerical, and bookkeeping aspects of the church office.


Responsibilities include:


Communication and Correspondence
• Greet and assist visitors to office.
• Answer telephone and forward messages to appropriate parties
• Daily collection and distribution of mail/email
• Type, print, and fold weekly bulletins, prayer list, and other bulletin inserts
• Coordinate completion and distribute of monthly newsletter and annual reports
• Assist with PowerPoints for worship
• Coordinate and review changes to church website


Financial Records and Reports
• Record receipts, perform bank deposits, pay bills, and record disbursements monthly
• Administer and post payroll each period
• File and distribute quarterly and annual payroll withholding and vendor tax reports


Administration and Facilities
• Order all office supplies, cleaning supplies, and various materials requested as needed
• Ensure office equipment is in working order and oversee maintenance
• Maintain church calendar
• Coordinate requests for use of church facility
• Coordinate building cleaning and repairs services
• Update and print church membership directories
• Email notices for meetings for church committees
• Assist the Pastor as requested


Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Access
Knowledge of QuickBooks software and bookkeeping procedures
Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal
Professional appearance and conduct
Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
Knowledge of general office procedures/practices and equipment
Strong follow up and follow through on assigned tasks
