Responsible for oversight of processes developed to process verifications and facilitate the credentialing process for initial and reappointment applications to the medical staff and allied health staff of Sanford. Overseeing the timelines and workflow processing of the reappointment cycles. Ensure the completeness and identifying issues requiring additional information or investigation on applications. Oversee the accuracy of application data entry and verification requests. Perform the final review of processed verifications for quality and content. Develop correspondence to obtain additional information is needed. Facilitate the credentials in preparation of agenda materials and follow-up of recommendations. Coordinate communication of final credentialing recommendations to all parties. Generate audits and reports to support/document the verifications and credentialing process and facilitating projects. Requires excellent organizational skills, and keen attention to detail. Must have ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify creative problem solving approaches. Must have ability to use independent judgment in executing professional decisions. Must be aware of available resources related to regulatory, licensure, and accreditation regulations related to credentialing and compliance. Must have accuracy in data entry and familiarity with database systems and access based report writing. Must be able to demonstrate appropriate conflict resolution in stressful situations. Must be skilled in establishing interpersonal and professional communication, both verbal and written, with physicians, healthcare entities, physician recruiters, external verification sources and services and delegated contractors. Holds all confidential information within the practitioner and organization files.



Two years of experience in health care provider verifications and credentialing or equivocal experience in closely related field required. Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Current South Dakota RN license is required or multi-state licensure privileges. Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
