As a member of the Technical Operations team, this individual will be responsible for bringing on line new manufacturing capability, training and developing resources, and optimizing processes in the expanding ECS Sustainment Center in Merrimack New Hampshire. This Center provides cutting edge, timely and cost effective support to our end customers for repair, refurbishment, retrofit, upgrade, and in some cases new build, for a variety of complex modules and assemblies across multiple programs. This high visibility position is a critical interface with our end customers, Program Engineering, Program Management, Factory and Program Quality organizations. A strong process focus, demonstrated experience directly supporting manufacturing operations, and solid project management experience is critical for the success of this role.

This individual will serve as an IPT lead for a shared support cell providing BGA and fine pitch rework, cleaning, X-Ray and automated epoxy dispense capability in support of multiple product lines. Subject matter expertise in relevant technologies, strong process focus and project management expertise are required to validate new equipment, and seamlessly transition process capability from existing prime-build factories. Solid interpersonal skills and a team focus are required to develop resources and interface effectively at all levels of an organization. This individual will work jointly with other Process and Product Engineers in both lead and support roles for key initiatives and projects.

Strong partnering skills to integrate with prime build factories on new manufacturing process improvements, and design changes. This Factory is in a unique position to provide feedback to Prime Build factories on manufacturing issues seen on units returned form customer integration and the field and input to design teams on tradeoffs to enable cost effective support over the life of a product.

Strong interpersonal skills will be required to provide real-time floor support, guidance and direction to EA's, assemblers, inspectors, and technicians. Process Capability Analysis experience will be key in validating and optimizing key processes.

Interested candidates should exhibit sound judgment, initiative and self-motivation, and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. The ability to manage time effectively while dealing with a variety of issues in a dynamic environment will be key to the success of this individual. Solid communication, teamwork and integration skills will be required to work effectively withpeers,Factory and Program resources in Sustainment and across NH Factories.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and support with transition of Capability and Processes to MER24 Facility

Train and mentor touch resources

Implement process controls and perform process capability analysis

Provide real-time resolution of issues impacting production,minimizing disruption to product flow in the factory

Perform root cause analysis, identifying appropriate corrective and preventive actions

Develop, validate and implement new methods, processes, tooling and equipment

Create or revise manufacturing process instructions and procedures

Provide other support as required

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills And Education

Prior experience directly supporting manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Circuit Card build and rework processes, including conformal coat, solder chemistry, hot gas rework, and cleaning processes

  • Exhibit initiative and self-motivation, and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
