Job Title: Sr. Manager, Marketing Planning and Process Improvement


The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Process Improvement is responsible for standardizing process, tools and final plan output for the annual marketing planning cycle for the Life Science Solutions Group (LSG); drive marketing process improvements; proactively discover productivity improvements within the marketing ecosystem; lead marketing integration activities; training marketing teams to ensure understanding of and alignment with LSG’s go-to-market development and execution processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Help identify and drive strategic improvement initiatives and innovation across the Marketing organization. Such initiatives could include marketing process improvements (e.g., current state and future state analysis), change management, Marketing-wide communication strategy enhancements (top-down and bottom-up), and enablement of an integrated marketing infrastructure.


  • Work with Business Partners across all divisions to standardize process, tools and output for annual marketing planning cycle; drive continuous improvement.


  • Lead integration of new businesses into the LSG Marketing Ecosystem.


  • Define and initiate mechanism to validate marketing plan to execution and performance.


  • Develop SOPs for all capabilities within Commercial Marketing and help drive usage of capabilities.


  • Become subject matter expert (SME) on current marketing procedures in order represent marketing communications processes across the organization and drive to necessary process improvements.


  • Leverage external research to generate ideas/insights for operational improvements


  • Conduct interviews with marketing team members, business and commercial stakeholders to understand their needs/pain points and analyze/prioritize the issues and convert the pain points to improvement projects.

Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or communications or other related work experience preferred.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:


  • 10 years marketing experience with strong knowledge of marketing strategy and communication principles.


  • 2 years of continuous improvement experience such as Lean Six Sigma.


  • 2-3 years of experience working with marketing automation tools.


  • Deep understanding of marketing planning processes and performance assessment.


  • Ability to understand business objectives and relationship to performance metrics.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively train on process and methodology; ability to confidently communicate to and influence marketing leaders.


  • Team player who can lead not only with authority, but also through influence and example.


  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems and processes.


  • Experience working effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.


  • Exceptional organization skills with keen attention to detail.


  • Resourceful in solving problems; good judgment.


  • Self-motivated, engaged, and accountable.
