Summary


Responsible for the development, expansion, and implementation of profits, sales, and expense budgets for assigned markets and products to achieve company objectives. Develops marketing strategies, business plans, and new product strategies for markets and customers. Maintains contact with customers to ensure their needs are met.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Establishes and grows effective customer work relationships that are based on openness, honesty, and trust.


  • Meets or exceed Berry budgeted revenue and profitability for assigned customer set.


  • Meets or exceed customer expectations for product reliability, service, and responsiveness for assigned accounts.


  • Leverages success across new and other customers within the market segment


  • Works with assigned customers to facilitate the day to day business including information requests, pricing updates, review of quality complaints/corrective actions, regulatory requests, shipment and delivery timing/improvements, and coordinate getting information to the plants


  • Interfaces with Product Development to transmit required product attributes and provide support during product development process.


  • Negotiates pricing, volume, and terms with customers that maximize company financial and strategic objectives.


  • Provides information needed for accurate volume forecasts and sales to Berry Finance, Logistics, and Manufacturing to support capacity planning and line scheduling processes.


  • Effectively interfaces with customers to strengthen Berry relationship and supply position.


  • Ensures that perceived and potential customer needs are met or exceeded.


  • Develops annual sales and expense budget and sales forecasts.


  • Manages spending to meet profit objectives within agreed upon scope, resources, and constraints.


  • Understands and determines product pricing based on product value proposition and market pricing.


  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with ability to close deals.


  • Able to co-manage new product development efforts in coordination with customer and internal resources.


  • Reacts effectively to market pricing actions and competitive threats.


  • Able to perform cost benefit analyses and make decisions, set priorities, or choose goals on the basis of inputs and outputs.


  • Travel estimate: National: 50-60%


  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:


  • 4 year college degree


  • Minimum of 7 years in Sales/Marketing management required.


  • Experience working in systems (i.e. CRM, ERP, Sales Forecasting)


  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships


  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills


  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral within the corporation and at multiple customer levels


  • Able to demonstrate patience and professionalism in the face of the customer


  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:


  • 3-5 year background in either selling extruded films, laminates, and non-woven plastics


  • 3-5 year background in healthcare or medical packaging


  • Above average Xcel and computer skills


  • Above average technical skills in extruded films, laminates, and non-woven plastics
