The Wholesale Customer Information System (WCIS) is responsible for the applications used within Wholesale to collect, enrich, maintain, and publish customer data for all products/services within the Wholesale organization. The systems collect and provide data to most operational areas within Wholesale. The collection of the customer toolsets are leveraged by 100+ partners and thousands of users operating across the globe. The data within the system must be high quality, as it is leveraged for many critical business functions including executive decisions, public reporting, regulatory reporting, etc.


The Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for working as part of the Data Quality Assurance team within Wholesale Business Data Solutions, specifically focusing on the client system WCIS.


This role will involve the following.


  • Responsible for primary development of Data Quality checks, both from delivery and monitoring daily output


  • Consults with users, providing advice and direction. Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications


  • Provides specific guidance on defects to developers


  • May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project


  • Participate in complex analysis around business, process, data, and interface areas,


  • Acts as a SME mentoring and leading less experienced staff/contract resources


  • Performs highly complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation


  • Creates and maintains SQL statements / scripts to data quality check/test for specific data/database conditions


  • Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects


  • Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.*

Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills


  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
