Position Summary:

This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) in Ob/Gyn to support informatics efforts, existing programs, and develop new endeavors. Analyzes problems, provides complex program specifications, develops or modifies programs, and assists in the scheduling of programming projects. This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, testing, evaluating, deploying and maintaining computer programs for practical solutions of scientific, management or business problems. Expected to work in a collegial manner with all faculty, staff and students, and independently manage priorities and deadlines. Must work well as part of a team, be able to complete project tasks independently as requested, be comfortable learning to use new software as required, be detail-oriented, and at all times demonstrate the ability to interact in a professional and positive manner in both verbal and written communications.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, modify, maintain, and document code for computer/mobile applications and information systems.
  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, documenting business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications
  • Assist with querying, reporting and managing data in support of administration, operation management and scientific researches.
  • Provide technical support to system users.
  • Maintain expertise in changing technology through self-study, and attending job-related seminars, courses, or conferences in order to enhance personal development and achieve the aims of assigned projects and programs.
  • Assist in dissemination of related findings through the preparation of manuscripts for publication.


A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent, and 2-3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer 3-5 years of programming experience with web development technologies, iOS/Android mobile app development, ColdFusion, PL/SQL, RDBMS. Team player with outstanding organization skills, and strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required qualifications.
