MVM, Inc. is looking for a Director of Case Management to be part of a highly capable team to run a shelter and all surrounding operations for the temporary care and transport of unaccompanied children (UC).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee entire Case Management operation and ensure it functions efficiently and smoothly.

  • Develops and implements case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, and managed care contracting or negotiation.

  • Develops policy and procedures in accordance with ORR.

  • Establishes best practice for the Case Managers.

  • Develops SOP's and any necessary training guides to include reunification and vetting of sponsors.

  • Train, develops and supervises Case Managers.

  • Implements Quality Control Procedures in accordance with ORR.

  • Responsible for distributing and assigning workload to the Case Managers.

  • Participate in the hiring process of Case Managers.

  • Responsible for developing research activities such as methods, statistical analyses, and dissemination of results to the customer and or upper management.

  • Responsible for submitted timely and accurate deliverable to include ad hoc reports as requested.

  • Serve as liaison with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and with UC home country consulates.

  • Liaise with ORR/DCS Policy and Procedures Compliance Coordinator for updates or changes to ORR policy that affect Case Management operations.

  • Report any ORR policy changes or updates to the Lead CMs to distribute to their teams.

  • Serve as morale-booster for the entire department – bear overall responsibility for promoting a positive and highly efficient environment.

  • Conduct random spot checks in UC portal to ensure Case Managers are updating UC case files in accordance with ORR policy and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work (MSW), counseling, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement; have clinical experience as a part of the master’s program requirements; OR

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the aforementioned sciences plus ten (10) years of clinical

  • Five (5) or more years’ experience at a Director/Executive level in a relevant field.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

  • Be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Certified Mental Health Provider.

  • Certified by a state or nationally accredited Case Management entity.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

  • ​Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (up to 100%).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience training and managing a large team of case managers and youth care workers;

  • Experience working with refugees under the age of 17;

  • Experience working with Government Clients, preferably ORR, FEMA, HHS, and/or DHS.

Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other employees.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 5% - 25% of the time.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 5% - 25% of the time.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 75% - 100% of the time.

Physical Dimensions: Medium-duty work. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
