The Corporate Human Resources Director will have oversight and management of Companywide HR strategies and initiatives across multiple companies and geographies. Partner with site HR leaders to develop and deploy cross functional HR programs with focus on change management, employee relations, employee engagement and recognition, talent acquisition and on-boarding, project management, compliance and labor relations.

Job Duties:

  • Provide best practice insight and guidance on global HR initiatives.
  • Lead HR integration activities for merger and acquisition activities; partner with site HR leadership to support start-ups and/or plant closures.
  • Provide support to executive leaders on complex HR related matters.
  • Partner with corporate communications executive and HR leaders to develop effective employee communications.
  • Lead and monitor employee engagement initiatives; develop employee recognition strategies and programs; facilitate employee feedback surveys and ensure business group follow up in response to identified actions.
  • Manage escalated complaints, conduct investigations, coach managers, ensure adequate documentation and follow up.
  • Manage recruiting partnerships with outsourced vendors, oversee recruitment of key positions.
  • Develop companywide recruiting programs to leverage new talent such as college recruiting, internship and management trainee program.
  • Lead the creation of employee onboarding program in partnership with cross functional team members to ensure a positive and consistent approach for new employee integration.
  • Oversee corporate careers site and applicant tracking system.
  • Develop and oversee companywide recruiting policies including background check, drug screen, expat and relocation policies.
  • Oversee reporting and development of annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP); partner with site HR leadership in support of site AAP actions.
  • Partner with legal department to develop and deploy companywide policies and compliance training initiatives (code of conduct, confidentiality, harassment, diversity).
  • Research and ensure compliance with new and existing federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide labor relations support in partnership with site HR leaders.

Required Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a global HR team environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices in employment, labor relations, recruiting and onboarding.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing at a detailed level.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationships with key business partners and executive leadership.
  • Experience managing employee engagement initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively influence business partners at all levels.
  • Ability to manage confidential situations with a strong sense of integrity as well as sound judgment, awareness and business ethics.
