SUMMARY
The candidate will be a member of the Americas Risk Management (ARM) Data Management Team which is responsible for defining, monitoring, and managing Risk Data providing a key function within ARM. The position covers a wide range of involvement spanning Data Governance, Data Services, and Data Quality Management across the Risk organization. The candidate will be engaged in a mix of business and technology activities within a large scale, complex data environments supporting data needs.
Candidate will work with a broad range of teams across the organization in the course of their work including ARM Technology and Data teams, Risk Disciplines such as Credit Risk, Office of the Chief Data Office, project business sponsors, business and technical SME resources within multiple MUFG entities, project manager, project leads, and IT. The ARM Data Management team supports a breadth of data management activities such as technology projects, profiling, information asset management, data stewards for assigned products and systems, issue cause analysis, defining of governance within Risk, current state analysis, and requirements analysis to name a few.

The role will require a foundational skill set and experience for application within the following areas:
Product driven business and data analysis
Direct and proven working experience with data management concepts and activities including an understanding of industry best practices for Data Sourcing, Key Data Elements, Data Quality Management, Metadata, and Enterprise Data Management Policy, Process, and Procedures
Manage facilitation of requirement, data sourcing, data analysis working sessions with business users, data owners, and related subject matter experts
Evaluation of business requirements to understand project objectives and scope
Utilization of Data Management methodology to complete tasks such as engagement with business and technical subject matter experts, review of documentation, data mapping, data gap analysis and remediation, etc.
Profile data large data sets using SQL within systems to ensure data is fit for use
Understanding of metadata management principles within data management
Subject area foundational knowledge with banking products such as Deposits, Derivatives, Loans, Securities, Leases, etc.
Training and experience to complete work efforts on time and within budget
Communicates effectively (both written and oral) to all staff levels and can deliver difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Working knowledge of complex technology systems implementations, with ability to effectively communicate with technology business partners

/ Skill Set Requirements: /
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Access, Toad
Ability to work within standardized and non-standardized processes to accomplish assigned tasks
Manage work to project timelines within a Work Breakdown Structure
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with appropriate communication on progress to project lead
Understands the criticality of quality management for project success (Requirements, Testing, Audit)
Action oriented - escalates and resolves issues in a timely manner
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills, with attention to detail
/ Additional Information: (Experience & Education) /
Eight plus years of financial industry experience
Five plus years of data related projects / Data Management experience
Experience working in dual hat roles between business and technology
Experience with Data Warehousing preferred
- Four year University degree required.
