Commerce Bank is Workday customer #43, fully engaged with HCM and Payroll, and seeking to add a new member to our Talent Management Service and Support team.Primary responsibilities include multi-company/multi-state bi-weekly payroll for 4800+. General reporting and regulatory reporting are also an aspect of this position. Audit timekeeping and staffing processes, while ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely processing of payroll in accordance with departmental and company procedures, policies, and state and federal regulations. Will respond to employee inquiries, resolve payroll issues, compute wages and update payroll records, review computed wages and ensure accuracy of payroll. Strong preference will be given for demonstrated knowledge of Workday Payroll and HCM. This position will also provide support to our Talent Management Systems Helpline during times of high call volume, involvement in special projects and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: •Calculate and settle payroll, load formatted data into Workday, initiate outbound integrations and research and resolve integration issues related to the payroll process•Process special payrolls including the annual bonus and year-end adjustment payrolls, prepare and process manual checks as needed•Ensure proper deductions for taxes, medical, and all other benefit programs.•Run post processing payroll reports and integrations in Workday to support the Finance team with tax filing via ADP and balancing.•Ensure all approvals are received timely prior to processing and completing payroll.•Assist employees and managers with payroll issues, requests for payroll information and use of employee self-service and manager services within Workday•Work with Benefits Team to ensure proper coding for FMLA, Disability, Leaves, etc.•Demonstrated knowledge of payroll rules, regulations and compliance with wage and hour laws (FLSA, DOL, etc.)•Assist in testing within Workday Sandbox during system upgrades and perform user acceptance testing for system enhancementsRequired Experience/ Background:•High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred•Minimum of 1-2 years of payroll related work experience, strong preference given to Workday Payroll exp.•Experience with multi-state Payrolls larger than 3000 employees and both exempt and non-exempt employees, to include payroll reporting•The ability to handle a number of tasks simultaneously in an environment where regular interruptions are normal•The ability to work independently, prioritizing and organizing the workload to meet constant deadlines•Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills•Interpersonal skills and dedication to developing positive collaborative relationships with coworkers to effectively partner with all business contacts.•Possess intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills•Exercise sound judgment when making decisions.•Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
