Position Summary: Provide the Production Lead with technical, personnel, and leadership support in performing the daily activities associated with the Production department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Assemble quality products in support of customer dock dates

  • Provide input for employee performance evaluations

  • Monitor and reduce line scrap cost; Follow MRB and Q-note processes

  • Communicate Line damages immediately

  • Communicate regularly with the line inspector to be aware of the quality issues found

  • Communicate quality issues found back to the line operator and ensure issue is resolved

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized workplaceonduct regular housekeeping audits

  • Support 5S initiatives

  • Perform duties of Production Team Lead in their absence such as:

  • Organize and assign work to meet the production schedules

  • Monitor and communicate the daily production results; Submit the daily efficiency report

  • Conduct daily meetings with the production line to review daily performance and challenges

  • Ensure the proper provisioning of the production line (tools, hardware, consumables)

  • Effectively communicate and elevate issues impacting the daily performance of the line from Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Logistics to the Production Supervisor

  • Review and provide daily attendance reports

  • Participate in daily production meetings



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required


  • Qualification of at least level 3 for up to 41-60 jobs on the line and/or 2-3 years of seat assembly or related experience

  • Must be able to read, write and interpret technical drawings and instructions

  • Ability to independently plan and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to learn new jobs in new stations

  • Ability to solve problems with little or no guidance

  • Ability to organize teams to effectively accomplish organizational goals

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours

  • Leadership and training experience preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook

  • SAP experience
