POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Business Analyst has management accountability for subordinate staff and leads and directs activities for onboarding of new firms which includes defining on-boarding requirements for each partner and coordinating efforts across all departments. Acts as primary contact for new firms throughout the onboarding process. In addition, acts as primary liaison between Agency and Compliance Department responsible for monitoring and ensuring all new business forms are up to date on agency systems.

Performs UAT for agency facing systems- VUE Producer Portal and Agent Portal as well as supporting integration of Independent Distribution new business workflows.

This position is also responsible for Independent Distribution s current systems and processes, documentation of the business requirements for procedural and system improvements as well as communicating with the internal groups to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements.


Leads and directs the work activities and has management accountability for the performance and development of subordinate staff in accordance with the company s operational activities. Fosters and promotes continuous process improvements and a positive work environment while ensuring business objectives are met and that all departmental goals are achieved or exceeded.

Manage and participate in on-boarding of new firms including the requirements gathering phase, systems testing phase, user support and ongoing communication with the firm throughout the process

Manage the relationship between GLIC and new partners during the on-boarding phase

Establish delivery date in cooperation with business partner and internal groups

Oversee documentation of business requirements, system requirements, data mappings and process workflows

Manage and participate in projects including the requirements/specifications phase, development of test case matrices, the testing phase and provide user support

Set and continually delegate tasks and responsibilities while managing on-boarding expectations with team members and other stakeholders and promote positive action and individual accountability for all team activities

Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, vendors and other interested parties

Assist in the management of the Change Control and Implementation Process including providing regression testing for system releases

Work with management to prioritize and manage concurrent projects in order to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction

Monitor Agency systems to maintain up to date new business forms; update as needed

Work with the various business areas to identify operational inefficiencies and assist in the development and implementation of system and process improvements

High School diploma


Bachelor s degree


5 Years life insurance operations experience

2 or more years of relevant work experience in process management, including process design and redesign, process monitoring and control, and process improvement

Knowledge of GLIC systems, including VUE, Agent Portal, iPipeline


Excellent knowledge of GLIC products, various business processes, workflows and systems

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with outside distribution partners

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with outside distribution partners

Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Ability to work with all levels of the organization

High level of competence with organization, prioritization, and multitasking in a rapidly changing environment

Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and follow-through skills

High level of integrity, with the ability to maintain confidences

Advanced level of PC skills including proficiency in MSOffice Suite, MS Project and MS Visio

Fundamental knowledge of project management methodology with proven project management experience

Fundamental knowledge of business process analysis and design, system architectures, and technology standards
