The Partner Development Manager/Director’s (PDM) is responsible for the development and execution of Windstream’s Partner Channel distribution strategy, maximize National Master Partner (NMP) mindshare, deliver best in class partner experience, and grow channel revenue through the aggressive management of the NMP relationship. The PDM will work to understand all facets of NMP business to ensure proper alignment within the Windstream Partner Channel Sales team.


PDM will own development and accountability of mutual business goals, drive training with respect to the Windstream production/solution and opportunity identification, and ensure the overall success of the program.


Additionally the PDM will work with the NMP Sales, Marketing, and Back Office personnel to identify, profile, research and develop new partner, VAR, MSP relationships; the goal being to expand the Windstream partner program by leveraging the Windstream Business and Partner Channel centric value proposition.


Duties and Responsibilities


• Works closely and creates cadences to consistently communicate with NMP and Windstream sales leadership to provide a comprehensive and unified partner approach to the market.
• Responsible for development and implementation of go to market strategies for NMP and their subagent community.
• Coaches and educates sales partners on how to differentiate Windstream from the competition through constant communication and ongoing training webinars with an end goal of increased, qualified, opportunity flow via product awareness and training and introduction of new selling tools.
• Set a strategic business development plan for compliance in alignment with Windstream’s strategic direction. This includes developing detailed account plans to track the progress of each developing partner and achievement to goals. Execute this plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. in region Channel Managers, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product, Training, support, etc.).
• Lead generation through relationship building and executing go-to market campaigns, Webinars, event/conference collaboration, and social awareness/involvement.
• Engage the partners' field sales organizations, marketing, and, potential, end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for Windstream.
• Provide management reports on NMP activities and prospects
• Use Winforce (iCARE, SOL/PAO, RPM) to develop all assigned Channel Partners Proposals


Preferred Requirements:


• BA/BS degree; 5 years of related telecom/technology sales experience with a proven track record selling through Channel Partners or data VARs Partners. Proficiency in selling MPLS, IVR, Data, ISP, Voice, and hosting and managed services. Strong understanding of indirect sales model and partner ecosystem.


Minimum Requirements:


College degree or equivalent and 8 years professional experience with 3 years directly related to the job; or 12 years professional level equivalent related experience; or a combination of education and related professional level experience required.
