We are seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist in Miles City. General responsibilities include the preparation of agricultural, business and consumer loan documents. Experience is preferred but this can be an entry level position for the right candidate.

Job Description:


The person in this position is responsible for:


  • The preparation of agricultural, commercial and consumer loan documentation packages for lenders located in our branch offices throughout the state. Emphasis is placed on quality, consistency and productivity.


  • Various projects assigned to assist the Central Loan Processing Department and Credit Administration Department


  • Providing support to the business line staff and other loan processors in the areas of loan documentation, credit policies and compliance.


  • Demonstrating good customer service skills, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.


  • Complying with the Bank’s policies and procedures as well as all state and federal laws associated with loan documentation.

Work Hours: 40 Hours per week


Basic Qualifications:


  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional “customer” service to the business line staff and other employees.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as the position communicates daily with supervisor, business line staff in branch offices, and teammates.


  • Excellent computer skills.


  • Individual must be detail orientated


  • Individual should have good problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous loan document processing, lending or loan administration experience.


  • Previous LaserPro or other loan origination software experience.

Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies


LOAN PROCESSING


Loan processors are responsible for the following duties:


Preparation of all loan documents for new ag, commercial and consumer loans for the entire bank system in a centralized environment.


Modification of notes, mortgages or deed of trust documents for existing consumer, agricultural and commercial loans.


Loan processors are accountable for producing loan documents with the following areas of emphasis:


  • Quality: Meaning that documents are completed professionally, and accurately.


  • Consistency: Meaning that documents are prepared following standard policies and procedures to ensure that loan document packages are prepared in a consistent manner so that loan document packages prepared by different loan processors are done the same.


  • Productivity: Meaning that the number of loan document packages produced is at reasonable levels when compared to management expectations.


    DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT


Various projects as assigned to assist the Credit Administration Department and Central Loan Processing Department. Examples of such projects include updating forms, gathering of statistics or researching and reporting on a assigned subject as needed.


Sales/Public Relations:


Promote the improvement of Stockman Bank through quality customer service, promotion of products, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.


Greet all customers pleasantly and make them feel welcome and comfortable.


Handle transactions quickly and professionally.


Effectively handle customer questions and problems.


Federal Regulation:


Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E and Bank Security.
