Position Description

As an Inside Sales Representative of one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, a highly motivated candidate will focus on business development by actively enrolling businesses onto Kinder Morgan’s FastPay program. This position will also have the opportunity to develop marketing strategies, implement sales plans, lead negotiations, brand the service, support the accounts, and collaborate with other departments.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree; Marketing, Communications, or related degree is preferred.

  • 3 - 5 year sales; marketing and customer service experience is also preferred.

  • Discover opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, build rapport, and educate companies about program terminology, features and benefits in order to increase enrollment and improve overall satisfaction.

  • Must exhibit outgoing personality and confidence with exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, training and presentation skills.

  • Create goals and monitor plan effectiveness periodically while continually presenting new and innovative ideas.

  • Identify trends and develop metrics in customer satisfaction, program growth, and attrition.

  • Obtain and enter complete and accurate contact information and other details as necessary into the CRM system as well as utilize its functionality in order to achieve desired results. Identity and lead improvements in the CRM application.

  • Must have organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the capability to work under minimal supervision or direction.

  • Must be able to identify problems and develop multiple resolutions while highlighting associated benefits and costs.

  • Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external contacts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned while meeting deadlines and achieving program goals.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience in CRM software, B2B media, and desktop publishing software is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel and complete tasks beyond normal work hours, as necessary.
