Role Summary:

The New Product Development Engineer will demonstrate leadership in leading & coordinating NPD initiatives for our site in Norwich, NY. In the New Product Development Engineer role, you will integrate processes that meet business needs across the Norwich Facility working in a matrix environment via integrated product team, manage complex issues, support long term planning, and the overall business strategy.

  • As well as product placement and transitions for the Norwich FacilityAdditionally, as the New Product Development Engineer, Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and technical direction for specific parts with significant business impact

  • Execute business product / part family strategy through offload, farm-out, dual source, P&E, and process improvements

  • Establish a plan / program, define objective, and identify resources and funding source to improve yield and increase throughput to match business requirements

  • Coordinate across functional groups, aligning engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, program and project teams, focused on delivery

  • Manage the program / project and communicate to customer or program manager to assure a timely and quality product is delivered

  • Communicate and influence across matrix organizations on technical and business solutions Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Design Engineering, Sourcing Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to influence cross functional teams

  • Guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship

  • Multitasking, able to prioritize according to the business long term strategy

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
