Unit Description


Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Center City, MN.


The Food Services Manager provides operational leadership and works closely with the Leadership of Hazelden and Sodexo to create the strategic plans for the food service departments that align with Hazelden's Mission,Vision and Values.


Responsibilities:


  • This leader will work closely with the team and the leaders at Hazelden to set the expectations for each manager that allows us to achieve at a high level.


  • Oversee the food service program, and work closely the leadership team to embrace innovation and new thinking for driving a healthier future for our patients.


  • Work in partnership with Nursing to develop and bring creative ideas for ensuring a best in class patient and guest experience.


  • Have Accounting Responsibilities for remote locations that we service out of Center City MN


  • Assist with HR functions to include scheduling, training and record keeping of in service and related documentation.


  • Handle day to day cash management functions to comply with Sodexo and our Client’s policies.


  • Reporting and recording daily POS reports for Center City and outlying locations connected to this account


  • Some weekends and holidays will be required.

  • Technical skills will include high levels of proficiency with data analysis,


  • Menu planning & forecasting processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)


  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Worksheet usage and design


  • Basic to intermediate understanding of P & L statements


  • Point of Sale, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation of cash drawer experience


  • Strong office organizational skills

Position Summary


Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.


Key Duties


  • Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations


  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment


  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards


  • Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory


  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

Qualifications & Requirements


Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent


Basic Management Experience - 1 year
