The Role You’ll Contribute

The Central Processing Manager is responsible for the daily function in the Central Processing department. This includes a staff of Central Processors, Instrument techs and the Lead Instrument room tech. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the budget, capital requests, and supply requests. The manager is responsible for overseeing training and in-servicing for the central processors, instrument techs and the lead instrument tech. The manager will be responsible for thru put of the department and efficiencies for productivity. The manager will work with the OR board runner and facilitators to help with instrument turnovers, conflicts and shortages.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team

• Work closely with the OR manager.
• Communicates with the OR manager, Board runner facilitators and OR staff of any instrument issues.
• Schedules staff appropriately to maintain productivity requirement.
• Assist in the training of new associates.
• Works with Human Resources on the hiring of new associates
• Schedules In-services for the staff.
• Assist staff with any quality issues.
• Works with finance on yearly budgets.
• Works with unit managers to resolve any issues/concerns regarding patient care equipment.
• Oversee bed rentals.
• Maintain yearly budgets and productivity
• Know all of the different sterilization processes and be able to train staff on them.
• Ability to run reports.
  
  

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

• 5 years experience in Central Processing
• Certified Healthcare Leadership through IAHCSMM
• CRCST
• CHL
