You'll have a rare opportunity to shape product direction and transform an industry from the ground up. We're seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer based in the U.S. to join our Experience Design team. Partnering with our Director of Experience Design, you'll help craft the experience and vision of Hauler Hero while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build a world-class product and design team.

You’re the ideal candidate if you’re a systems-oriented design generalist who not only geeks out over iterative design and user research, but also brings a genuine passion for solving complex problems to improve people’s lives. You thrive on diving deep into discover and turning those insights into polished, user-friendly solutions that scale.

As a Figma power user, you'll craft and refine solutions based on direct user feedback. You should get excited about design systems - we're talking about someone who finds joy in creating scalable components, exploring variant possibilities, and building properties that make our design patterns both powerful and intuitive for users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product design initiatives, from user research through high-fidelity implementation
  • Partner with product, engineering, and support teams to drive design strategy and vision
  • Champion and implement improvements to design processes and team workflows
  • Contribute to and maintain our design system to ensure consistent, scalable experiences
  • Demonstrate strong time management and ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Champion empathy-driven user-centric design through research, data analysis, and continuous feedback
  • Facilitate design critiques and workshops to align stakeholders on solutions
  • Establish and document design workflows, accessibility, and UX best practices
  • Review user feedback and analytics to identify pain points and shape feature priorities
  • Mentor team members and establish best practices for design excellence

What You Bring

  • 3-5 + years of product design experience in B2B SaaS
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proven problem-solving abilities and measurable results
  • Expert in Figma and modern design tools, with knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS/React) meaning you've mastered auto-layout, aka Flexbox.
  • Proven experience with user research, data-driven design, and user-centered methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead design discussions and manage feedback
  • Experience working in Agile/Lean environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Expert in design systems development, including component libraries, documentation, and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of variables, design tokens, and accessibility standards across platforms
  • Strategic thinker with ability to own projects independently and drive product vision
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time
  • Experience with data visualization and complex dashboard design
  • Track record of successful remote collaboration and async communication
  • Experience with user testing and usability studies

Nice to have

  • Experience in waste management or logistics industry
  • Experience with no/low-code tools like Webflow, Flutterflow, or Replit
  • Advanced prototyping tools (Principle, Framer, Origami, etc.)
  • Building design systems at enterprise scale
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Public speaking or conference presentation experience

Salary range

  • $130,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
