Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $41.440 - $53.470 - $65.490

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

This is a limited tenure position with an anticipated assignment length of 6 months, with potential opportunity to extend. Telecommuting available with expectation to be on-site as needed.

What You Will Do

The Talent Acquisition specialist provides, promotes and maintains a highly professional, visible and integrated image of Sharp HealthCare Recruitment. Utilizes established and develops new outreach opportunities with community and educational organizations for recruitment and workforce purposes. This position assists in the development of long and short-term strategies for recruitment and retention in collaboration with clients. Provides consultations to SHC clients on recruitment and selection process activities, implements and assists with retention planning projects, provides training sessions for managers, supervisors and leads. Able to make independent decisions on applicant qualifications and appropriateness of hire with recommendations to management clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 Years Experience in recruitment or human resource services for multi-sited company or a large organization (equivalent clinical experience for specialty areas in lieu of direct human resource or recruitment experience will be considered)

  • California Certification in Human Resources (PHR-CA/SPHR-CA) - HR Certification Institute - PREFERRED
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - HR Certification Institute - PREFERRED
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) - Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) - PREFERRED
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) - Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) - PREFERRED
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - HR Certification Institute - PREFERRED

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; or current Talent Acquisition experience and current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program may be substituted. Degree to be completed within 18 months of hire (degree to be tracked and maintained by department management) - Required

Essential Functions

  • Collaboration and teamwork: Participates as a member of the recruitment team, acting as a resource for other staff members and a collaborative member of HR team to foster process improvement. Effectively communicates ideas and recommendations in appropriate forums. Promotes a positive image of HR and Recruitment to SHC and externally.
  • Consulting and communication: Represents system-wide and facility approach to workforce planning on system-wide and facility task forces. Conducts Selection Interview Training sessions for appropriate levels of staff with satisfactory evaluation scores. Creates and implements management training opportunities and consulting strategies which support integrated long term workforce planning initiatives for SHC (i.e. succession planning, retention planning).
  • Customer service: Provides comprehensive and effective consulting services on recruitment planning related issues for clients. Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, balancing services and consultant role.
  • Recruitment: Conducts searches for all position levels up to and including Manager utilizing multifaceted sourcing strategies. Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate internal resources, universities/schools, community resources, professional organizations and candidates.
  • Regulatory compliance: Interprets, understands, stays current on state and federal regulations including pay transparency and immigration issues that govern recruitment activities, OFCCP and EEO.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Recruitment (i.e., organizational structures, benefits, compensation, employee relations, labor relations, employee health).
  • Extensive knowledge of major areas of employment law to include ADA, discrimination avoidance, Wage and Hour administration.
  • Extensive demonstrated skill areas including critical thinking, effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, planning, evaluating, assessing and problem solving for resolution.
  • High proficiency to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Team commitment to HRD and the fostering of system recruitment for multi-disciplinary departments.
