Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic and fast paced Personal Injury firm. This pivotal role will oversee the day to day HR operations and reports to the Chief People Office and Managing Partner.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in performance management, payroll processing, and process improvement, employee relations ensuring that our HR practices effectively support our workforce and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous feedback.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to assess HR metrics, identify trends, and inform decision-making processes to meet company standards and to create a positive culture.
  • Effectively communicate to company stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Oversee compliance with employment labor laws and regulations, ensuring that all HR practices adhere to legal standards.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline HR operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Chief People Officer and Managing Partner on HR Operations, Process improvement, Compliance and Employee engagement
  • Utilize systems such as Paylocity for human capital management, payroll processing, and reporting. Process payroll timely and accurately.
  • Oversee the performance review process as outlined by the Headquarters office in California.
  • Handle employee relations and escalate HR issues to Chief People Officer and Managing Partner with Solutions.
  • Manage Atlanta office 401k, benefits, COBRA and other HR Processes. Work with appropriate teams for checks and balances.
  • Serve as backup to office administration on an as needed basis.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR at Headquarters (HQ) to ensure company processes are handled in line with HQ requirements.
  • Onboard and offboard employees in line with company checklists and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Psyhcology, Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Proven experience in an HR role with a focus on performance management and process improvement in a growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of employment labor law and compliance requirements.
  • Expert Proficiency in payroll processes, including HR software systems such as ADP, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to interpret complex information for strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, conflict resolution and solutions based approach.
