X-Ray Technologist

Bayview Physicians Services, one of the fastest growing medical groups in Virginia has an exciting, full time opportunity for a X-Ray Technologist within our Urgent Care centers. Scope:

Perform all radiological procedures as requested and as needed. Provides patient care and insures patient safety from radiation hazards.

Reports To:

Department Supervisor and Physicians

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assures all physician requests for services are rendered in a timely and professional manner
• Assists in quality assurance monitoring
• Assures all rooms are stocked with necessary supplies
• Cleans equipment after each patient
• Obtains prior mammogram films from outside facilities for comparison
• Makes sure that all necessary information is recorded properly
• Answers all telephone calls
• Assists receptionist by scheduling patients for x-ray procedures and gives special instructions to patients as needed
• Maintains annual compliance education
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and physicians
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Presents to work on time as scheduled
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Virginia license
• Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist preferred
• CPR certification
