  • Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
  • Accountable for the care provided in the Emergency Department.
  • Communicate changes in a patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, with the physician.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and social workers.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
