General Summary
The Regional CFO is the person responsible for planning and controlling all financial activities for the organization while maintaining compliance with overall policies. The executive is the financial counselor/advisor for the organization. The Regional CFO plans, organizes and administers the institution- wide program of financial management reporting and managed care contracting to best meet the strategic objectives of the organization.
The AdventHealth (AH) Regional Chief Financial Officer provides the financial leadership, direction and support to insure the financial viability of all the AdventHealth hospitals and organizations in the five-state region of the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
The Regional CFO works closely with the Regional President/CEO to ensure the financial success and future growth of the regional facilities. He/she will be responsible for the financial planning of the region. He/she will accomplish these goals working with the CFOs and Finance Committees of the various entities.

Principal Duties And Job Responsibilities
- Exemplify a Christian leader.
- Responsible for the financial operations of all AdventHealth hospitals and entities and joint ventures in the region.
- Demonstrate uncompromising ethics and personal integrity.
- Practice and support SHARE principles with all contacts.
- Create an effective working environment where team-building is emphasized.
- Effectively manage the partnerships within the region.
- Chair the Finance Committee for the region and facilities.
- Works with the entity CEO to oversee and assess the performance of the hospital VP/CFOs.
- Oversee the financial planning of all AH entities in the region.
- Oversees the preparation of reports for and attends meetings with the Finance Committee regarding the financial activities of the institution.
- Plan, organize and control financial policies and processes.
- Develop and present operating and capital budgets, financial statements and reports.
- Develop, implement and adhere to all accounting internal control policies and procedures.
- Create or monitor all contract negotiations, including Managed Care contracts.
- Control the reimbursement process, including credit and collection.
- Construct annual report.
- Practice effective cost management
- Design long range financial plans.
- Participate in strategic planning for organization.
- Participate in long-term strategy for capital expenditures.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and financial counselors.
- Support and enable Corporate Compliance.
- Works with Regional CIO to assess the long-term IT needs of the facility.
- Collaborate with Governing Board to adequacy of allocation of human, information, physical and financial resources in support of identified performance improvement and safety improvement priorities.
- Senior Executive responsible for all construction projects.
- Oversees property management of all AH properties.
- Oversees the recruiting and contracting process for new physicians.
- Coordinate with the Regional CEO on the selection process of new finance committee members at all AH region entities.
- Work with the Regional CEO to grow the organization through development, acquisition and affiliation.
- Assist the Regional CEO in overseeing the capital budget for the region.
- Foster a relationship with the local AdventHealth University in order to grow the talent pool of AdventHealth.
- Direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of the leaders and functions that directly report to the regional CFO.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field
- 5 years in a senior financial management position
- Identification and commitment to mission, philosophy and goals of organization
- People skills including inspiring, influencing, motivating, communicating and conflict resolution
- Highly advanced financial skills
- Leadership skills including decision-making, team-building and organizing
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
