Senior Development Engineer
San Francisco or Remote
Mission Clean Energy seeks a Senior Development Engineer to play an active role in helping our development team realize its goals by supporting and managing technical aspects of battery and solar projects in development. This pivotal position manages the technical aspects of early solar and storage site evaluation through construction readiness and encompasses preliminary solar and energy storage design, managing engineering studies, supporting technical aspects of site permitting, and coordinating with equipment and EPC service providers. The Senior Development Engineer will report to the VP of Pre-Construction. This represents a unique opportunity to become part of a well-funded, exceptional team in a key role that will influence the company’s growth trajectory.
Director of Transmission & Interconnection
San Francisco
Mission seeks a Director of Transmission and Interconnection to drive growth and execution on our rapidly expanding renewable energy and standalone storage pipeline. This role will manage an existing transmission and interconnection team to drive our volume of renewable energy and storage projects while navigating complex development investments.
The Director of Transmission and Interconnection will report to the Head of Development and will provide subject matter expertise across our growing cross-functional group that includes representation from finance, engineering, project development, and revenue contract origination.
The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set that makes them effective in a technical and regulatory context associated with strategic transmission system analysis while navigating the interconnection process. We are looking to you to develop, coordinate, and analyze optimal strategies for interconnecting renewable energy and storage projects to the grid based upon system assessments, interconnection processes and costs, and market delivery. Although this is a Director level position, the successful candidate will be equally comfortable navigating the development details of an individual deal as they are managing a large team to overall business results.
You will work with a team of external subject matter experts and consultants to perform interconnection modeling and studies, including load flow studies of current and future utility system conditions, and prepare interconnection requests. The Director of Transmission and Interconnection will collaborate with leadership in other functions to strategize market analysis, site selection, project estimating, and project development execution.
The successful candidate will be as comfortable navigating the interconnection process and technical details of an individual project as they are researching and analyzing system level transmission strategies.
Renewable Energy Development Manager

The Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development of renewable energy projects, including managing project teams, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and working with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The Development Manager manages the day-to-day development tasks for a set of large and complex renewable energy projects throughout their lifecycle from initiation to construction. The Development Manager coordinates and reviews the work product of multiple development functions, consultants, technicians, and others and is responsible for the execution and performance of complex multi-disciplinary projects with teams working across geographies.
The Development Manager will report to the Head of Development and will work closely with our growing cross-functional group that includes representation from finance, engineering, GIS, real estate, permitting, transmission/interconnection, and revenue contract origination.
