Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team. In this critical role, you will lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the growth and financial health of the Medicare business. You will collaborate closely with actuarial, operational, and other key stakeholders to ensure financial performance aligns with the company's strategic goals and emerging trends.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly/quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the Medicare segment.
  • Budget vs. Actual Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of budget vs. actual performance, identifying key variances and offering actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • KPIs and Performance Metrics: Develop, monitor, and report on financial KPIs to assess performance and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Actuarial and Operational Teams: Work closely with the actuarial team to understand risk and pricing models, and collaborate with operations to evaluate emerging trends, operational performance, and financial impacts.
  • Financial Reporting & Presentation: Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to executive leadership, clearly communicating financial trends, variances, and recommendations for course corrections.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights to help drive key business decisions and initiatives, helping the Medicare segment achieve its financial and operational goals.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

BA, BS, in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Required Experience

7+ Years

Preferred Education

MBA

Preferred Experience

8+ Years

Healthcare or health plan experience
