Grantmaking Specialist

The Walser Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Foundation Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of philanthropic efforts on behalf of Walser Automotive Group.

At the Walser Foundation, we build strong communities through grants, scholarships, employee volunteer initiatives, and partnerships. This role embraces corporate philanthropy, leveraging strategic grantmaking to foster economic stability and drive meaningful impact while inspiring employee involvement and community engagement.

Walser Automotive Group commits 5% of all pre-tax earnings to the Walser Foundation, supporting nonprofits focused on education and workforce development in our business areas.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social sciences, or a related field preferred
  
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in nonprofit management, grant administration, or related fields
• Strong understanding of nonprofit organizations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and Wichita, Kansas, is preferred
  
  
  

Skills:

• Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both internal and external
• Exceptional organizational and project management abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining partnerships
• A positive attitude is essential and an open mind is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with grant management software is a plus
