L3Harris Fuzing & Ordnance Systems is in search of an Engineering Technician who will work with a multi-disciplinary team to collaboratively design, manufacture, and test electronic and electro-mechanical devices that support war fighters for the USA and our allies. The ideal candidate should have experience using manual and automated test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal test generators, power supplies, counters, etc.) and experience troubleshooting electronic circuitry to the component level. Knowledge of computerized test equipment, including hands-on experience is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up test equipment and perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environment.
  • Perform electronic troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • Record test data, maintain test data file system, shop routing documentation and accept/reject data for production & engineering assemblies.
  • Assist technicians and engineers in performing Root Cause and Failure Analysis.
  • Calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
  • Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components.
  • Assist Engineering in establishing operating standards for test systems including detailed test plans and work instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent formal training in Electronics Engineering Technology (or related discipline) and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components, or High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components.
  • 2 years experience (formal training and practical experience) of electronic circuitry and ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
  • Must be eligible to qualify and obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher.
  • Experience using spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and other RF test equipment.
  • IPC Solder Certification.
  • Experience working in the Defense Industry.
  • Experience working in Electronics Manufacturing.
