Job Summary

This position is responsible to repair and preserve structural integrity and longevity of interior and exterior facilities and equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparation of surfaces prior to, and application of, primers, sealers, paints, stains, varnishes, enamels, or other finishes to equipment, buildings, or other structures, using appropriate tools and methods.
• Minor carpentry or repair work needed to prepare surfaces including walls and floors.
• Power washing of various interior and exterior surfaces.
• Using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, etc… to work above ground level.
• Reading work orders and/or receive instructions from supervisors to determine work requirements.
• Calculating amounts of required materials based on surface measurements or work orders.
• Operation and maintenance of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools.
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas.
• Compliance with all OSHA, EPA, FDA and GMP policies, regulations and procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED and 3-5 years in related work experience.
• Working knowledge of large scale industrial applications and appropriate coatings, food manufacturing knowledge a plus.
• Ability to work without direct supervision to a work order schedule.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work with solvents, chemicals and coatings using proper PPE, including respirator.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Must be willing to flex hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
