We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team in Dulles International Airport. Job Summary:
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will support the HR department with various administrative tasks. 75% of the time is concentrated in Time & Attendance and other responsibilities such as: employee onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and general HR services. You will be one of the points of contact for employees seeking HR assistance and will play an essential role in maintaining a smooth and efficient HR operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Time and Attendance system – This is the main responsibility of the position. Maintaining accurate records, monitor discrepancies and inconsistencies, track and verify overtime, revision of attendance tracker, collaborate with the payroll department to ensure all time and attendance data is accurate before payroll is processed.
- Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing onboarding materials, scheduling orientations, and conducting initial orientation sessions.
- Recruitment Assistance: Help with job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and coordination with hiring managers during the recruitment process.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing assistance with general HR-related inquiries, benefits, and policies.
- HR Projects: Assist with various HR initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement, and training programs.
- Benefits Administration: Assist in benefits enrollment, tracking employee benefits, and responding to benefits-related questions.
- Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining employee files, records, and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Time & Attendance and human resources.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with a Time & Attendance system such as ADP or UKG is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at all levels.
