Travel Nurse RN - ICU/Critical Care

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience required License: Active Massachusetts RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of continuous Medical ICU experience required, Telemetry competency Description: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 20-bed medical/surgical facility. The unit provides care to a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, DKA, and cardiogenic shock. Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day. The facility features a capacity exceeding 400 beds, including medical-surgical beds, ICU, maternity, and more. Floating to other medical-surgical areas is required as needed. Day rotators may be rotated between 7 a.m.-7 p.m., 11 a.m.-11 p.m., or 7 p.m.-7 a.m. shifts as needed. Night shift does not rotate. The RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity patients. All patient populations are served. The charting system used is EPIC.
