Position Summary

McClay’s Logistics USA, LLC. (a leading 3PL/logistics brokerage located in Warren, MI) is actively hiring individuals within our Carrier and Operations teams. Working with McClay’s allows the employee to focus on what they do best, service the customer and produce results.

McClay’s is currently seeking an inspired individual to help grow our Operations team. As an Operations Representative, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and growth of our assigned house accounts within the framework of design, while providing proactive and reliable communication to the requesting point of contacts and management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the brokerage
  • Track & trace shipments to ensure on time deliveries and ensure additional reporting to client base as requested
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships, all while optimizing costs and maximizing profitability within the company
  • Collect POD’s from delivered shipments and process the next steps in TMS billing cycle
  • Enter shipment and invoice information into client specific billing websites
  • Update and disseminate client reporting on scheduled basis
  • Assist with creation of shipments in TMS system (LTL or Dedicated truckloads)
  • Help backfill team members who must step out for various reasons
  • General additional administrative duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Previous Logistics experience not required
  • Possess a genuine and enthusiastic personality while being highly motivated with a high work ethic and drive to push for results and success
  • Strong communication skills are required including the ability to relay urgent information to Operations team members or management in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also being independent and taking ownership of your work
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively with minimal oversight
  • Be driven to succeed, have confidence in your abilities and great verbal communication skills

Experience

  • Prior experience in freight brokerage operations is highly preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS) to manage shipment tracking and data analysis (preferred but not required)
