Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our AR and AP functions and manage a team of four accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage AR and AP Functions: Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of four accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
• Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, reviewing transactions, and preparing necessary adjustments.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience in both AR and AP is required
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software
  
  

Physical Requirements

• This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
