The purpose of the Accounts Payable position is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting the overall efficiency and integrity of the company’s financial operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly AP check run.
- Process AP invoices (PO and miscellaneous)
- Monitor AP inbox & handle AP inquires.
- Prepare various reconciliations, such as Credit Card reconciliations, expense reports audits, and invoice postings.
- Support for other activities within A/P and month-end closing.
- An associate degree in an accounting-related field is preferred but not required.
- 3+ years AP/tax/related experience. 5+ years in AP/tax/related experience if no degree.
- Able to use computers well with capability in MS Office (Excel and Word), data entry, email (Outlook), word processing. Able to learn new software and expand knowledge in aforementioned software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Complex problem solving skills.
- Must have strong mathematical and AP skills.
- Must have a strong customer service attitude while working as a team player, along with the ability to work professionally with customers and vendors.
- High attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can perform accurately in a fast-paced environment with a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Able to present ideas in a logical manner.
- Able to independently make good decisions regarding situations that may arise in work area.
- Able to process information logically and understand and follow ethical business practices.
- Limited understanding of GAAP. Strong knowledge of AP and relevant tax areas (i.e. sales and use tax).
- Superior data entry skills and the ability to self-supervise.
- Able to prioritize is essential for this position.
