Responsibilities

The Director, Optimization will partner with leaders and teams across the WRB enterprise to identify and execute upon process improvement opportunities to deliver value to end customers aligned with system transformation efforts. This position requires a proactive individual with expertise in process optimization, insurance and change management principles. The Director, Optimization will be a trusted partner who drives transformational change through innovative and world-class process improvement techniques.

Process Development And Optimization

• Lead the development and implementation of an Optimization Phase framework for large software implementations.
• Utilizes knowledge of customers, products, processes and Continuous Improvement expertise to analyze business problem(s) and determine the best methodology to resolve existing process gaps.
• Leverage process tools such as process charts, tables, value stream mapping and workflow diagrams to assist in analyzing problems and developing solutions.
• Conduct post implementation evaluation of the implemented business improvement processes and track the key deliveries, KPIs/measurements/controls to demonstrate sustainable efficiency & effectiveness
• Provide continuous monitoring and management reporting of ongoing process improvements initiative/projects progress and status.
• Assembles key participants, leads, subject matter experts and facilitates cross-functional, collaborative teams in process improvement initiatives using business process and change management standards to optimize the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the process.
• Develops and implements an end-to-end process improvement methodology (playbooks, toolkits, frameworks etc.) and reusable process libraries.
  
  

Change Management Support

• Collaborate with change management teams to ensure alignment between process improvements and change strategies.
• Assist in the development of change management plans and communication strategies.
• Provide guidance and support to employees navigating through change, including coaching and troubleshooting.
  
  

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing change management or operational excellence frameworks within large organizations.
• 10+ years of experience in process development, instructional design, or change management.
• Solid knowledge and demonstrated use of LEAN Six Sigma, statistical analysis, industry standard tools (SIPOC, DMAIC, VOC, Process Mapping, Process Requirements) and process management principles
• This role will require travel of up to 50% throughout the United States to our operating units
• Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups in a matrix organization, spanning all organizational levels including collaboration across business and IT disciplines to achieve results
• Prior experience in technology implementation; familiarity with Guidewire is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
• A degree or equivalent, preferably Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline
