Security Support - Industrial Security

Job Location: Granite Parkway, Plano, TX

Job Schedule: Monday thru Friday (Alt 9/80 Reg) 8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Description:

• Personnel Security:
• Processes employee and guest badges, and security reader/identification cards.
• Processes security information and data used for maintaining employment records, personnel security clearances, and property control.
• Processes Visitor Access Requests (VAR) authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas.
• Verifies accuracy of personal information prior to issuing clearances.
• Maintains controlled security documents and information.
• Access Control/Badging: Physical Security requirements for program needs
• Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards.
• Processes security information and data for security clearances.
• Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas.
• Verifies accuracy of personal information prior to issuing clearances.
• Maintains controlled security documents and information.
• Maintain federal security regulations, maintaining knowledge, and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements, i.e. cyber, information technology, and configuration management.
• Assisting Executive Administration personnel with meeting/seminar logistics.
• Processing in/outgoing shipping/mail support.
• Submitting Building/Facilities Work Order requests and coordinate follow-up (computer/phone).
• Ordering & Maintaining of Office Supplies (placing orders via the computer).
• Requesting Janitorial Service Requests (phone).
• Ability to work overtime – to account for early morning / late evening meetings.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Active SECRET Clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SCI clearance at a later date if deemed required.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Effective communication and positive/professional manner in performance of duties.
• Interaction with senior L3Harris personnel, multi-cultural customers, and its employees.
• Work under sometimes stressful conditions.
• Work any shift and overtime as requested.
• Working knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Familiar with the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (EQIP) Process and reviewing Justification Requests.
• Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Implementation of 32 CFR part 117 and Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD-3).
• Knowledge of Security Information Management System (SIMS).
• Knowledge of C*Cure 800/9000 Access Control Software.
• Operational knowledge of Avigilon CCTV Video Surveillance Security System.
