The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Event Concierge to join the Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.

Classification: Full-Time, Temporary

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $24 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What Will I Be Doing?

The Meeting & Events Concierge position focuses on client relationships with Event Planners. This position requires an on floor presence to understand, anticipate, and deliver exception service that is required for an event to be successful. The Meeting & Events Concierge will be the liaison between the client and Event Manager. This role is a key asset with supporting the Events Department for a successful operation.

  • Respond and accommodate any last minute needs and requests in a timely manner.
  • Continuously follow up with event planners to confirm client satisfaction is being met.
  • Work with Events, Sales, and Banquets teams on a daily basis.
  • Communicate any needs or requests from the client to all departments at the resort.
  • The main point of contact for day-of events.
  • The ability to feel empowered to make decisions and efficiently fulfill any client needs.
  • Attend and coordinate pre-event meetings with client and requested department leaders.
  • Greet clients in the morning and evening of each day.
  • Have knowledge of package handling process.
  • Assist with directions and escort guests to their designated event spaces.
  • Provide and create thorough signage around the resort to assist with directions for events


Job Requirements

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to push carts and equipment that weighs up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a continuous basis
  • Previous Hotel & Resort experience preferred
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Demonstrate a calm demeanor in a fast pace environment
  • Strong organization skills required
