Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Process Engineer to help optimize and improve manufacturing processes within our facility. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine processes that enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and automation solutions to streamline production workflows.
  • Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis for process-related issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure processes meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
  • Conduct training for operators and other team members on new processes, systems, and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Use data analysis and performance metrics to drive decision-making and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a process engineering or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.
  • Experience working in the fasteners segment of the aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques (additive manufacturing, precision machining, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development:
  • Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
  • Develop process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and tooling specifications.
  • Optimization:
  • Analyze production workflows and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and monitor quality control measures.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead projects focused on process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Prepare and present project updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $120,000 to $135,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
