What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and ensuring compliance with cost documentation and reporting requirements through the following responsibilities, including cost documentation and compliance, coordination and collaboration, cadence control, process improvement, data management and reporting, and audit support
  • You will collect, verify, and document cost evidence for all project-related expenditures following established accounting principles, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to contract requirements
  • You will ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the cost-reimbursable contract, along with the attached Cost Evidence Documentation Requirements provided by Intel
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for cost documentation within Linde Engineering North America LLC
  • You will work collaboratively with client's Cost Engineering Analyst to review cost evidence, identify gaps, and implement corrective measures
  • You will facilitate monthly meetings with the Cost Engineering Analyst to discuss cost evidence and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • You will take ownership of and actively manage the Monthly Project Cost Report
  • You will oversee and update the Monthly Advanced Rolling Cashflow Forecast with all Change Order and Cost Data
  • You will ensure alignment between the Monthly Advanced Rolling Cashflow Forecast and monthly invoicing submissions
  • You will verify consistency in values for Budget, Change Orders, Billing, and Cost Evidence to Date across all reports
  • You will properly manage all cost-related documentation, ensuring accurate and timely uploads to BIM 360, the central document repository
  • You will upload and maintain organized Cost Evidence folders in BIM 360 to ensure accessibility
  • You will prepare and maintain a detailed Cost Evidence to Date report, identifying verified costs, outstanding documentation, and resolution strategies for gaps
  • You will oversee and manage the monthly project accounting calendar for the project team
  • You will monitor and manage the status of subcontractor billings to ensure timely submissions, contributing to the most accurate and up-to-date cost reporting
  • You will continuously evaluate and refine cost accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • You will provide recommendations to the project controls team for potential improvements in internal cost management practices
  • You will assist internal and external stakeholders by providing complete, accurate, and timely cost evidence
  • You will address inquiries related to cost documentation and ensure compliance with established requirements

What makes you great

  • You have a minimum five (5) years experience in cost forecasting, cost accounting and project controlling, as it is required for this role
  • You are GAAP Certified, as it is required for this role
  • You have demonstrated experience in cost management for complex, MEP-intensive construction projects, though direct installation experience is not required
  • You are familiar with cost reimbursable contracts and construction industry best practices
  • You have experience with Accounts Payable best practices
  • You have experience with Construction Invoice Management/Billing best practices
  • You are able to read and understand contract terms and conditions
  • You are familiar with GAAP accounting principles, including revenue recognition, documentation standards, and ethics
  • You demonstrate proficiency in cost management systems and document management tools, such as BIM 360
  • You have advanced Excel skills for data analysis
  • You are familiar with ERP systems and cost reporting software, particularly SAP
  • You exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse, globally located stakeholders
  • You possess a high level of organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • You have relevant certifications in project accounting or construction financial management, which are considered a plus but are not required
  • CPA is not required
