Mitchell and Son Inc. is seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator with a strong background in Commercial Division 9 projects, including drywall, framing, interior and exterior construction. The ideal candidate will work independently to develop accurate estimates for commercial projects, ensuring that bids are submitted on time and align with project requirements. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Estimate Development: Create detailed estimates for Division 9 commercial projects, including drywall, acoustical ceilings, and other interior systems.
• Cost & Material Analysis: Prepare material and labor estimates, ensuring accuracy in cost estimates for all projects.
• Bid Management: Submit bids on time to general contractors, answering questions and clarifying details as needed.
• Vendor Management: Obtain and manage bids from vendors and subcontractors to support the overall project estimate.
• Cost Analysis: Utilize bid data to create comprehensive cost analyses for management review.
• Software Utilization: Use On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and other project management tools to generate accurate estimates and takeoffs.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with project goals, managing multiple bids and ensuring they meet deadlines.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Estimator Division 9, preferably in drywall and related interior systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to develop accurate project estimates.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and Microsoft Word/PDF.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and negotiate contracts.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations.
• Licenses: Valid State Driver's License and reliable transportation.
