Position Overview
The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s accounting functions, such as financial statement analysis, month-end and year-end closings, tax compliance, internal auditing, accounting research and memo-ing, and leading process improvement initiatives. This role will be based at our Marietta, GA headquarters.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s accounting functions, such as financial statement analysis, month-end and year-end closings, tax compliance, internal auditing, accounting research and memo-ing, and leading process improvement initiatives. This role will be based at our Marietta, GA headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month and year end close responsibilities.
- Manage AR customer invoices and payments applications.
- Approve and Manage bills in AP system.
- Knowledge of Construction Accounting: Percentage of Completion, Inventory, COGS
- Knowledge of Purchase Orders, Invoicing, Goods Received.
- Assist Controller with weekly AP Runs and Cash Management
- Allocation of Payroll, Burden Rates, Expense Reports, and other corporate expenses.
- Assist project teams and other departments with any questions or needs related to the accounting department.
- Assist with Audit PBC and Tax requests.
- Prepare account reconciliations during month end close.
- Assist in Accounting system conversions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience: 0- 4 years of experience
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Public Accountant Track Preferred
- Technology: Excel, Pivot Tables, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines and projects.
