What You'll Do:
- Leads the Engineering Team to the successful achievement of the departmental strategic goals and objectives.
- Establishes policies, processes and procedures for the department to ensure quality and reliability of the products are met.
- Promotes the development of new ideas for new products or product enhancements and oversees the creation and improvement of products.
- Ensures reliability of testing processes and products, reviewing new components during design stage before release, and ensuring products meet corporate standards as well as all applicable government regulations.
- Promotes collaboration between the engineering department and all functional areas, including Suzhou.
- Partners with Executive Team to plan and analyze business objectives, contracts, and staff and service policies.
- Ensures effective communication is maintained with all Team Leaders/Members and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains clean and functional workstations as well as common areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s).
- Strategic visionary with high level of business acumen.
- Expert knowledge in product development and product design.
- Excellent collaboration skills with strong interpersonal and leadership mindset.
- Computer Literate: MS Office, MRP, QAD.
Considerations:
- B.S. in Engineering or related field
- MBA preferred
- 10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry
- 10 years knowledge of foodservice equipment, electromechanical, sheet metal and assembly processes
- Experience and knowledge with MRP, ISO, QAD
- 10 + years Management experience
