Job Summary: Provides an ongoing assessment of asset quality by completing reviews of commercial and consumer lending, portfolios. Establishes work processes for self and monitors progress to ensure completion of review schedule as set by department manager. Completes lending related special projects assigned by Executive Management. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s Character Qualities.

Essential Functions

  • All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Performs the periodic review of all loan portfolios for the purpose of determining risk elements, the degree of attention required by management, identifying problem credits and portfolio concentrations, and ensures loans conform to internal policies and federal regulations.
  • Makes recommendations to loan officers, credit administration and loan operations when weaknesses are identified as compared to industry best practices, bank procedures, and/or regulatory guidelines.
  • Provides reports detailing findings identified and any concerns that warrant attention.
  • Provides summary reports of portfolios reviewed to the Board of Directors’ Audit Committee.
  • Reviews credits as part of due diligence for potential acquisitions and credits related to bank stock loans.
  • Interacts with federal bank examiners during safety and soundness examinations and external auditors during annual bank financial audit.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business related field required, preferably in finance or accounting. Minimum of three years’ experience in bank examination, loan review or financial analysis.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of regulatory definitions for loan classifications, regulatory appraisal guidelines, and safety and soundness guidance. Working knowledge of legal requirements related to loan documentation and securitization of collateral. Ability to analyze financial information with a thorough understanding of cash flow and global cash flow analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Must be able to work independently and manage oneself and time effectively.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to hear and speak clearly both face-to-face and over the phone. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. Some travel required, including over-night and out of town.
