Job Summary:
The Gymreapers team is growing, and we’re looking to add a Vice President of Marketing to join our Executive Team. The VP of Marketing will lead the development of the marketing team and brand strategy alongside the founder, shaping positioning, target audience insights, and market differentiation. This role will drive brand awareness and demand generation across all distribution channels (wholesale, direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, etc.), focusing on both customer acquisition, customer retention and brand building.
This position directly manages marketing, brand, creative, and digital leaders, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing plays a key role in shaping the long-term corporate strategy and ensuring marketing efforts are directly tied to business growth and brand strength.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Brand & Community Leadership- Develop and oversee Gymreapers’ brand strategy, ensuring all marketing efforts align with a clear, compelling, and differentiated market position.
- Lead the development of integrated marketing plans, ensuring all brand-building initiatives across content, partnerships, athletes, social media, and experiential marketing support business goals.
- Define and evolve Gymreapers’ athlete and influencer strategy, building a program that authentically aligns with the brand’s values and expands reach in the fitness community.
- Establish Gymreapers’ events and experiential strategy, ensuring industry activations (e.g., Arnold Classic, fitness expos) create meaningful connections with customers and drive brand engagement.
- Oversee PR and earned media efforts, ensuring Gymreapers maintains a strong presence across relevant media, fitness publications, and industry networks.
- Develop and drive a comprehensive customer acquisition and retention strategy, ensuring a full-funnel approach that maximizes customer lifetime value.
- Lead the e-commerce and digital marketing strategy, ensuring performance marketing channels (paid social, search, affiliate marketing, SEO, email, SMS) are optimized for efficiency and scale.
- Define and oversee the CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy, ensuring segmentation, automation, and personalized campaigns drive repeat purchases and customer loyalty.
- Build and implement measurement frameworks, leveraging analytics, attribution models, and A/B testing to track marketing effectiveness and refine strategies.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with Product, Retails Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to ensure seamless go-to-market execution, aligning product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling.
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated strategically across brand, creative, digital, content, influencer marketing, and events.
- Champion a test-and-learn culture, continuously identifying new opportunities, emerging trends, and innovative strategies to drive Gymreapers’ growth.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s in Marketing; MBA is a plus.
- 14+ years in Marketing with a minimum of 7 years at a senior level (managing teams, complex brand/distribution environments).
- Experience managing brand strategy, media, creative, customer acquisition & retention, digital/e-commerce marketing.
- Able to balance priorities and move quickly in a rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo in our highly disrupted business environment and move quickly to test and learn new strategies and tactics. This also relates to a level of resourcefulness and proven ability to do a lot with a little.
- Experience managing brand strategies with significant experience connecting those strategies to business results. Proven experience leading marketing with a commercially-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with internal and external clients with an openness to new ideas and differing opinions.
