Position Summary
As a Corporate Development Intern at Associated Materials, you will support the evaluation and execution of acquisition opportunities while assisting with strategic projects across all business units. Your role will involve working with various teams to develop materials and models for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), conducting diligence, and supporting integration planning. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and cross-functional collaboration within a leading company in the building products industry.

Key Accountabilities
- Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities.
- Assist in developing first drafts of materials and financial models for acquisition presentations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Help manage and execute diligence work streams for active transactions.
- Contribute to the development of integration playbooks for various business functions during periods of lighter transaction activity.
- Provide strategic analysis and insights for ongoing review projects across multiple business units.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather data, provide insights, and ensure effective communication during project execution.
- Assist with other ad-hoc strategic projects as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience, ideally in a related field such as corporate development/strategy, investment banking, strategic consulting, transaction due diligence, or accounting advisory.
- Enrolled as a first-year student in an MBA program.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build financial models and analyze data.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial modeling principles.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while being a proactive member of a team.
- Comfortable with remote or hybrid work, maintaining productivity in a flexible environment.
- Knowledge of the building products industry is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
