The Opportunity

Picarro is transforming gas utility operations with innovative solutions for methane emissions management, risk-informed leak prioritization, and pipeline asset optimization. As a Client Program Manager in the Gas Business Unit, you will play a strategic role in driving successful program execution, delivering measurable value to clients, and advancing Picarro's mission to make gas networks safer and more sustainable.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Climate and Safety Solutions, you will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, bridging business needs with technical execution. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with GIS workflows, and the ability to strategically manage complex programs, ensuring alignment with client goals and Picarro's long-term vision.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Execution - Plan and execute client programs to deliver measurable outcomes, balancing client goals, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency. Oversee GIS workflows, ensuring accurate data integration, boundary creation, and quality control. Collaborate with internal teams to align execution with Picarro's broader objectives and provide insights to optimize program outcomes, including leak prioritization and emissions reduction.
  • Client Relationship Management - Serve as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders, building relationships, understanding challenges, and ensuring satisfaction. Translate client needs into actionable program plans, facilitate training, and support workflow adoption to drive long-term value.
  • Data Analysis and Insights - Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights through dashboards and performance reporting. Ensure quality control across collected data, GIS integrations, and program deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement - Streamline client workflows, improve program efficiency, and support the scaling of client programs by demonstrating value through data-driven KPIs. Contribute to the development of strategic use cases, such as advanced leak survey optimization and emissions management.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strategic Thinking - Ability to align program execution with client goals and long-term business outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills - Proven experience analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • GIS Proficiency - Experience with GIS tools (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial data management is a plus.
  • Client Engagement - Strong client-facing abilities, with excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Program Management - Skilled at managing programs end-to-end, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and delivering results.
  • Technical Communication - Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Organized Execution - Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, GIS, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in client-facing roles such as program management or technical project delivery.
  • Ability to travel on short notice to client locations.
  • Prior experience in the natural gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors is strongly preferred.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
