HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team! This will be a remote position, with occasional travel to the team’s office in Hanover, MD. This role will support the team in creating and managing end-to-end generative AI solutions. The team supports AI and digital modernization for both internal use and for external clients, with applications from intelligence analysis to manufacturing optimization. Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team! This will be a remote position, with occasional travel to the team’s office in Hanover, MD. This role will support the team in creating and managing end-to-end generative AI solutions. The team supports AI and digital modernization for both internal use and for external clients, with applications from intelligence analysis to manufacturing optimization. What You Will Do
- Operational AI Implementation: Research, develop, and apply machine learning and deep learning algorithms to be deployed in an operational setting
- Full Stack Design and Development: Rapidly design and create prototype applications to demonstrate AI capabilities. Transition prototypes to production by designing and implementing well-architected, scalable software stacks
- Client Engagement: Support meetings with internal clients and external customers as a subject matter expert in AI and advanced software solutions, with a focus on cloud technologies and generative AI
- Ability to support multiple projects for different clients in parallel
- Ability to be collaborative across a wide array of individuals at varying levels of technical skills
- Effective writing and speaking ability to communicate complex strategies and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leaders
- Additional duties as assigned or required
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
- Experience with the following:
- Programming languages: Python, C++
- Containerized development and deployment: Docker, Rancher, and/or K8s
- Cloud engineering: Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Databases: SQL, noSQL, and/or vector databases
- CI/CD pipeline management
- DevSecOps design/deployment principles
- Ability to travel to customer location(s) occasionally with advance notice
- Training: Must be able to obtain IAT Level 2 Compliance Certification
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance
- Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technologies/experience
- Experience with:
- UI/UX development: JavaScript (Angular, React)
- Backend development: REST API, web apps, microservices
- Experience creating or supporting development of generative AI products or platforms, particularly multimodal use-cases
- Working familiarity with latest open source LLMs and relevant software frameworks
- Experience supporting feature development and maintenance for an enterprise-scale application
- Current IAT Level 2 Compliance Certification(s) (Sec +, or other) highly desired
