Brief Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Software Engineer Intern modifies/maintains existing software. This role develops, modifies, and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized. This position participates in design and coding activities with other staff members.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain existing and new applications and systems to provide enhanced functional capabilities to end users through accurate, timely and effective design, coding, implementation, and end user documentation.
  • Develops software in a mixed Windows or PaaS environments.
  • Work effectively in cross-functional/cross departmental teams

Additional Functions

  • May be called upon to help document existing functionality or help with requirements gathering, depending on assignment.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current Junior or Senior preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: Authorization to work in the United States is required.
