Your Role
Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently seeking an Operations Lead to oversee operations to haul and install travel trailers used for disaster recovery housing efforts. This program involves deploying travel trailers to disaster survivors and providing them with safe, temporary housing solutions. The travel trailer haul and install Operations Lead will report to the Program Operations Manager and will be responsible for supervising field operations across several counties within the State of Georgia. This in-field role will coordinate with internal staff and subcontractors to ensure the successful staging, deployment, installation, and demobilization of travel trailers.

Your Role
Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently seeking an Operations Lead to oversee operations to haul and install travel trailers used for disaster recovery housing efforts. This program involves deploying travel trailers to disaster survivors and providing them with safe, temporary housing solutions. The travel trailer haul and install Operations Lead will report to the Program Operations Manager and will be responsible for supervising field operations across several counties within the State of Georgia. This in-field role will coordinate with internal staff and subcontractors to ensure the successful staging, deployment, installation, and demobilization of travel trailers.
- Coordination: Coordinate the haul and install schedule of travel trailers with internal staff and subcontractors, allocate resources to support field operations, and maintain open and efficient communication channels to ensure smooth field operations.
- Field Supervision: Oversee the execution of an organized and efficient laydown yard as well as the execution of work orders, ensuring timely and accurate deployment, installation, and demobilization of travel trailers.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Perform field monitoring and inspections to verify proper installations and demobilizations in compliance with all required program guidelines and SOPs.
- Inspections: Use established templates and tools within the Microsoft ecosystem to conduct and document inspections, ensuring adherence to program standards.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate daily logs, unit-specific notes, inspection reports, and inventory tracking records, ensuring timely submission in the system of record.
- Communication: Provide regular updates through meetings, reports, and the system of record to leadership and other stakeholders. Maintain a high volume of clear, professional communication.
- Safety and Program Standards: Promote safety awareness, monitor site safety, and ensure all work adheres to program requirements.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, construction, or disaster recovery operations.
- Experience specific to Non-Congregate Sheltering programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of travel trailer operations and sheltering programs is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and project management scheduling practices for optimal resource allocation.
- Comfortable navigating and utilizing various technology systems; tech-savviness is essential in this technology-heavy environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of communications in a fast-paced environment.
- A balanced approach of professionalism, tenacity, and empathy, maintaining compassion for disaster survivors while driving efficient and timely operations.
- Frequent travel throughout the affected area is required.
- Must be able to work outdoors, extended hours, and weekends as part of an emergency sheltering operation.
- A valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance are required .
